Kingham Agriculture

Welcome to our Blog.

My name is Neil Kingham and I am the current generation working in agriculture based on our family farm in the Central West of New South Wales. My father Jim, wife Jenny and children James, Breanna and Daniel have all worked with me over the years in good times and bad. We run a dry land operation and crop approximately 1700 Ha of Canola, Wheat and Barley in rotation.

Our aim with this site is to let you know who we are and what we do. Our main business is the production and sale of feed grains to Australian feedlot and dairy operations. Our farming operations are designed to ensure ongoing sustainability for the land we manage.

This blog is really a bit of an experiment. I have heard and met a number of people who are passionate about the need to communicate who ‘we’ are and what ‘we’ do in Agriculture. Old farmers retire, the next generation moves on to other employment and fewer are left to tell the stories of daily life on a farm. So I am going to try, over the course of the next year, to let anyone who is interested know about the things we do on our farm.

And since 2014 is International Year of Family Farming, we will add our small voice to a much larger conversation.

I need to thank my wife Jenny for all her work on collecting photos and family history. Thanks Jen.
