Rain in feb

In my last post, I mentioned that we would resume grain carting as soon as the rain cleared.

I need to revise that statement… We will resume grain carting when it dries out enough.

It is Saturday morning and overnight we have had 46mm and it is still raining solidly. What a blessing to have rain leading into sowing time – although too much of anything can cause its own problems. Hopefully it is raining where the drought is at its strongest.

Have no doubt, water is life on a farm and it falls when it falls.

Anyway – I’m having a very nice time drinking a coffee and listening to rain on the tin roof.

If your reading this, have a good day where ever you are.

EDIT – Next day: Tipped an additional 49mm of rain our bringing our total rain to around 95mm!! What a unexpected blessing.
